چکیده

This study presents analyses of guidance laws that involve non-monotonic convergence in heading error from a new perspective based on an advanced stability concept. Pure proportional navigation with range-varying gain is considered, and the condition to guarantee asymptotic collision course investigated while allowing exhibit patterns intermediate diversion. The extended criterion considered this allows local increase Lyapunov function some finite intervals, which less conservative than standard theorem. existing involving intentional modulation as well design are discussed respect criterion.

On uniform semiglobal exponential stability (USGES) of proportional line-of-sight guidance laws

This paper presents a uniform semiglobal exponential stability (USGES) proof for a class of proportional line-of-sight (LOS) guidance laws used for vehicle path-following control. The LOS guidance law under consideration is a lookahead-based guidance law for marine craft. The USGES proof extends previous results that only guarantee global κ-exponential stability. Typical applications are marine...

On Monotonic Convergence of High Order Iterative Learning Update Laws

High-order iterative learning control (ILC) in both iteration domain and time domain is investigated in this paper. We are interested in whether a high order iterative learning updating law is helpful in achieving a monotonic convergence in a suitable norm topology other than the exponentially weighted sup-norm. Discretetime linear time invariant system is considered. With simulation illustrati...

Non-Parametric Non-Line-of-Sight Identification

Recently, there has been much interest in accurate determination of mobile user locations in cellular environments. A general approach to this geolocation problem is to gather time-of-arrival measurements from a number of base stations (BSs) and to estimate user locations using the traditional least square approach. However, in non-line-of-sight (NLOS) situations, measurements are significantly...

Hazard Alerting using Line-of-Sight Rate∗

This paper presents an analysis of an electro-optical hazard alerting system based on intruder line-of-sight rate. We use a recently-developed airspace encounter model to analyze intruder line-of-sight rate behavior prior to near miss. We look at a simple hazard alerting system that alerts whenever the line-of-sight rate drops below some set threshold. Simulations demonstrate that such an appro...

Line-of-Sight Guidance for Path Following of Marine Vehicles

This paper presents an overview of the Line-of-Sight (LOS) guidance law, which is a widely used method for generating heading reference trajectories, for path-following applications of marine vehicles. Due to the fact that these reference trajectories depend also on the form of the path, five path evaluation criteria are discussed. The guidance problem is presented in a constructive manner. Fir...
